How do I get the barcode scanner to work? I correctly position the barcode but it doesn’t automatically take the photo and touching the screen takes me back to the previous page? I really need this function!

The barcode scanner should automatically focus on the barcode of the item it is pointed at. Sometimes (depending upon the device) it is necessary to slowly move the camera away from or closer to the barcode to help the auto-focus.
 
Also – please ensure the barcode is well lit and there are no shadows.
 
The barcode scanner should automatically identify the barcode and return to the search screen without any need for tapping on the screen.
