  1. How do I change to metric system? Gram, kilogrammes etc?

Hi Roger,
You should be able to enter metric weights. I posted a screenshot below of an example Lunch event showing metric weights for the contents.

If you can let me know which screen you are looking at in particular, I can give you more instructions.
