I have a new phone. How do I ensure that I do not loose my data? I tried to back up to iCloud but could not. I did loose data 3 yrs ago when I updated to a new phone. I want to avoid that this time- what do I need to do?
PS- Such a great resource. I rely daily and heavily on  this wonderful app for medical info. I recommend it to Drs all the time.

Hi Claire,

So long as you’ve registered a mySymptoms account and your diary data has fully synced, you can simply log into mySymptoms on your new device using the same username and password. Your diary entries will then automatically sync to your new device.
You can find your username under More › User Settings, and reset your password from there if needed.
To check your account is fully synced, look at the sync icon (top right of the diary screen). It should stop spinning and display a tick mark once syncing is complete.
If it hasn’t fully synced or you experience any issues, please reach out to our support team at [email protected] — we’ll be happy to help.

Kind regards,
The mySymptoms Team
